Welcome to the web site for Foxton in Cambridgeshire in the UK

This site is primarily intended for the village, but there are bits and pieces which may be of wider interest.

Foxton is a small village 7 miles south of Cambridge with about 1200 adults and 250 children,  and for the moment around 480 houses (about 20 of which change hands each year).

It has a main line station to Cambridge or to Stevenage and London Kings Cross.

South Cambs District Council supply an analysis of the village which you can find here.

 Multimap or StreetMap location maps

If you are geographically inclined, we are approximately here: TL410482 or

541000m 248200m or Lat: 52:06:54N (52.115) Lon: 0:03:30E (0.0584) i.e. just east of the Greenwich Meridian!

There are buttons on the left which cascade into different categories, but you need to scroll down to see them all. There are links to external websites which are all out of our control, follow those links at your own risk. The main source of written news in the village is the 'Laurentian' which is delivered monthly to subscribing houses.

This site was initially made available by the Parish Council, but is maintained by volunteers without reference to them. Any inaccuracies, mistakes or views expressed are solely due to the webmaster operating, to paraphrase our last prime minister, 'in the sincere belief of righteousness and therefore absolved of responsibility'.  We will however attempt to correct any mistakes that people tell us about.
