Foxton, near Cambridge
This map is part of the early 19th Century Cambridgeshire County map by
the famous English cartographer, John Cary.
Foxton is shown on the Turnpike Road (now the A10) about seven miles
south south-west of Cambridge. Nowadays, the M11 crosses the A10 just north
of Hauxton, and the railway between Cambridge and the London terminus at
King's Cross also gives easy access to the village, which still retains its
railway station as a local halt.
